ExDirectories.com is for domain investors

The ExDirectories.com Service is for those who wish to build up a domain portfolio; individuals who wish to build up a URL portfolio of investment grade domains with expired traffic.

(Read about domain investing in these articles in CNN Money here, and in the Wall Street Journal here.)

"Forget condos and strip malls. Domain names, the real estate of the Web, have been delivering far greater returns. How some of the savviest speculators on the Net are making millions from their URL portfolios." - Paul Sloan, Business 2.0 Dec 1, 2005.

"The domain-name market also is attracting new types of investors. Once largely the province of entrepreneurs, it is now drawing venture capitalists, wealthy families and public companies. Domain aggregators such as Internet REIT LP, which is raising $250 million to buy domains, see the Web addresses as long-term investments that yield a steady stream of income for shareholders." - David Kesmodel, Wall Street Journal Nov 17, 2005.

How the ExDirectories.com Service works

Around 40% of registered domain names are deleted each year, which is about 25,000 domain names every day.

Many of these expiring domain names still have traffic from people visiting and were once developed and marketed by their previous owner, with some still listed in the leading Internet directories:

dmoz the open directory project, Yahoo! Directory, Looksmart, IMDB, Download.com, Business.com, Wikipedia, TheHun.com

ExDirectories.com finds the valuable domains based on directory listing and link popularity, and emails them to you, every day, regular as clockwork.

It finds PENDING DELETE status domains first - ideal for domain investing purposes - and sends a list of them out daily, up to 5 days before they are deleted and become available.

With this advance notice you decide which ones you wish to pursue, and either place back-orders at Snapnames or Pool.com, to obtain them for $60 or more at auction, or wait until they expire to register them for as little at $7.17**.

"2-5% of expiring names have a value reasonably in excess of what it would cost to renew it and at least one name per month, often more, sells for over $10,000*." (link)
"We estimate that the resale of expiring domain names in the secondary market generates about $60 million a year in revenue." - Elliot Noss, President and CEO, Tucows Inc. (Sept 2004)

ExDirectories.com finds you these investment grade domains.

We do NOT Cherry Pick

We DO use ExDirectories.com Ourselves but do NOT "Cherry Pick"

One question we know will be on certain potential customer's minds is this: If this information is so valuable, why not keep it for yourself instead of offering a service to members?

The answer is simple - the information we provide is very valuable only if acted upon.

Domain investing requires a certain amount of money and time to be spent in researching the domains we present, registering them using HeroDomain.com or in entering online domain auctions.

We DO use ExDirectories.com ourselves, and from time to time we register domains or buy them at auction to add valuable domains to our own portfolio of domains with traffic, or to offer for sale at our Domain Sales page or on Sedo.

But we do NOT cherry pick. That is we do not give ourselves a special head start, or hold back the most valuable domains from members for ourselves.

I, Bjorn from Iceland, the main owner of the service am not a full time domain investor or domainer, as I already have a number of profitable online businesses that take up my time. But I have to say that domain investing has been for me a very profitable use of the time I have spend dedicated to it.

You can be sure that I have gained some very valuable domains from acting on the ExDirectories.com information, as have a number of my members who are full-time domain investors.

As you can see, the information we send ExDirectories.com members has a great value if acted upon intelligently. The price of the service ensures that ExDirectories.com is not for everyone.

"I lost my domain gnuradio.org, official site of the GNU Radio project, to a domain name cybersquatter because of an error by the domain registrar.

Bjorn at IM Group used their ExDirectories.com service to zero in on the domain when it was released by the carpetbagger.

He then returned the domain to me so it could again be used for the GNU Radio project."

- Eric Blossom,
Founder GNU Radio project
(August 2006)

"As an SEO Expert, many people who know me on various specialist forums will know I have been pushing the need to use expired domains for close to 12 months now... to get that edge to do well in AdSense.

Since I found ExDirectories.com I can easily get expired domains, but not just expired domains, expired domains WITH PR! I've found some great domains with very nice PageRank. I log in every day hunting looking for that PR 7 expiring domain to drop into my hands..."
